A hero is no braver than an ordinary man, but he is brave five minutes longer. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Cause being a Hero is a choice…not a leader, not a contributor but a Hero!

To be a Hero one doesn’t need intelligence but one needs passion towards their objective. Many a successful people have quoted passion to be more important than intelligence to succeed in todays VUCA world. Average intelligence and a lot of passion towards your objective can drive more success than what even a genius can achieve.

A Hero focusses his energy beyond himself towards the larger responsibility. Like Spiderman to believe that with power comes responsibility! The hero ensures that the larger objective of doing good drives him through the smaller wins.

Being a Hero still gives you the freedom to fail. A Hero is not one who is never failed but the one who has the courage to stand up even after he falls and start all over again.

A Hero has fans not followers! He inspires them by his actions. Sometimes all it needs to be a Hero is to have a crowd of fans cheering you on. It never is the size of the audience but how loudly they cry out your name.

Growing up I heard a story from my grandfather multiple times – It was about this hard-working labourer who once asked his son “what do you want to be when you grow up?” the son replied “a grass cutter” the father was really disappointed with his son’s response, cause he had thought his son would have some big dreams. So he asked his son “where is cutting grass going to take you?” the son replied “to the President house ! Cause they will know me for not what I do but how I do it. I will be a Hero! “ the father smiled with pride listening to this response.

Be a Hero wherever you are in what ever you do. It’s not a hierarchical position or the task at hand that will determine you success but you passion and perseverance to succeed.

If we all agree to make this choice today we would leap-frog our businesses away from mediocrity to excellence !
